WHY HAVE A BUILDING INSPECTION?
The purpose of a
building inspection is to provide the owner or prospective
owner with a report of the current condition of the visual
and accessible structural and operating systems. It should
be a complete and thorough evaluation of the building by an
unbiased representative of the client. it should identify
defects and deficiencies in the structural and operating
systems, or their components, which will need attention, now
or in the near future. This is especially important, if
those items could cause great inconvenience or be costly to
repair
Armed with the
report and the knowledge obtained during the inspection, the
Clients will be able to proceed with confidence. If
necessary, they can obtain more extensive evaluations and
estimates from repaid specialists, including labor and
material costs, time and inconvenience involved in
correcting the deficiencies.
WHY DO
NEW HOMES NEED INSPECTIONS?
Local
officials, in addition to administering zoning codes, are
charged with the duty of assuring that buildings meet the
minimum State structural and safety codes. Their
responsibility does not extend to checking function, fit, or
workmanship.
WHAT
CAN YOU EXPECT?
Our inspectors
observe and evaluate over 200 individual items
within the structural assemblies, the main operating
systems and sub-systems of a building to determine their
condition. We invite our clients to be present during the
inspection since it allows us to report observations and
their significance, explain the operation of systems, offer
tips on maintenance and energy conservation, and answer
questions as they are brought up. At the conclusion of the
inspection, which typically takes several hours, you will
receive a Confidential Written Report that
details all conditions observed.
Our service
does not end with the issuance of the Report since we offer
free phone consultations whenever necessary, even if it is
several years later. |
